In these past couple weeks Liam and I have done some good things for the well being of our school. Cleaning up and putting recycle and trash cans is helping a lot. Though no one really notices, it still feels good. I have a few things to be taken care of on my Genius hour page, but it's coming along nicely. I am ensuring I will meet the deadline on time.

With only 6 Fridays left I have been keeping up the work around the school. Sad to say it's almost done with. While cleaning up the school I believe it the place a much better atmosphere for the students. It is proven that clean and good atmospheric places make students learn better. My proof for this is a few pictures you will notice on my main page. Doing this was a joy and it's unpleasant to say it's almost done.
“After School Programs Foster STEM Skills”. This is what article I chose. With this article, children can pretty much learn anything they want. All things such as Technology, Science, Engineering, and Math. STEM is an important part of student learning because it requires problem solving and critical thinking skills. This can be fun for the children who aren't really into learning. STEM is good for children who are not wealthy enough to afford an education. This gives the poor kids a shot at a normal education.
The purpose in writing this article is to explain if it is possible for a normal person to become genius. Cloud thinks that being a genius is made by both genes and the environment you live in. other philosophers have wondered this for many years and still do. Although not too long ago Simonton found a way to see if people are genius or not. They look at how much the person cites their professional work in literature or the number of times a composers work is performed and recorded, and sometimes investigators count encyclopedia references. I can use this information given to me by this article by always remembering what it says. Also not everyone is as smart as the other, we are all unique in our own separate ways. Everyone is born and has got a purpose in life.
When the time comes in January, I will already have done my project. I had a hard time trying to figure out what I should use to bring to class when it's presentation time. Then Mr. Cowen came in clutch with his 3-D printer. I can relate my project to his printer because as I work on my project I can see it finally start to take shape. This is much like the printer when it prints off something.
The authors interpretation of genius is not intelligence but creativity, it differs from the definition of genius in the common definition is having a high IQ or winning a Nobel Prize, but they are implying that this definition is wrong and that genius lies in creativity and innovation and not in IQ.
Then shared strategies of genius are the things that true geniuses do, like making thoughts visible and thinking in opposites rather than looking at only one possible solution. My genius Hour Project helps me make my ideas visible to the public through music, and preparing myself for chance in that it might not work out the way I planed. What I have learned from this article is that failure only can make you stronger as long as you put your mind to it. When something happens to you and puts you down because you failed at it, don't let it bother you, keep going and put your head held high. Genius hour blog will help me with this issue now because I can put my feelings and true beliefs all into one computer mind.
There are three people in the group, Briar, Liam, and me. What I intend to accomplish is having a much more neat and organized area around the perimeter of the school. Throughout October, November, and December our group will start to keep a steady pace at going out in our free time to clean up the trash that is just laying around. Basically Briar, Liam, and I are going to make sure we are a respectable looking school, from the outside I mean.
